Fall containers for the porch don’t have to be red, orange and yellow in order to celebrate the season! Here we use a mix of greens, whites and purples to create an Autumn patio planter that will welcome guests with cute violas and gently waving grasses. The perennials in this design can be mixed with next season’s plants, and grow for years. Tall fountain grass creates beautiful height for this design, with carex filling out one of the sides and spilling over the pot. Rosemary is a great choice as it adds height, scent, is hardy when it gets cold, and can also be snipped for the kitchen!
Other great finds in these fall containers for the porch include:
Heuchera
Dusty Miller
Violas
Rosemary
Fountain Grass
Carex
